TATA design studio brief: Reimagine premium car.
TATA motors, being the largest automotive manufacturer in India, wanted to explore a premium segment car for the future 2030.
The brief encouraged to redefine conventional approach. The design process was inspired by the works of Charles Correa, a prominent architect from India who believed in the philosophy of "non-building". He believed that buildings should be a part of the landscape, rather than defining the landscape, this is where most architects go wrong, especially in fast growing cities of India.
Keeping in mind the sustainability factor, the concept is a pitch to redefine personal space with mobility. The premium factor of this concept was its purpose, its responsibility to make space around the mobility concept to be more accessible.
reduce energy demand of a city
when not in use, cars would energy contributor to the grid.
A sustainable system utilises its own resources that would balance the growing demand.
Hydrogen would not be stored in the vehicle, rather infrastructures
like office spaces and homes would provide hydrogen, in-turn the
each vehicles would only acts just as a individual Catalyst in a collective environment.
A taxi that makes commuting pleasant.
In fast-growing cities of India, there is a hike in the usage of taxi services, like uber and OLA which are accessed through mobile devices.
The increased number of cabs have made roads congested. This causes adverse effects on the mental and physical health of commuters. Stress has becoming a pressing problem due it.
The design brief aims to dampen the negative psychological effects through design. A design which communicates empathetically, through its digital display which reduces confusion on Indian roads. Its exterior design resemble previously existing taxis and autorickshaws.
What happens when you fracture your hand?
-You get desperate to recover fast !
On one unfortunate day, I was too excited to ride my bike. I was pushing my limits with speed when the inevitable happened. I shattered the ball and socket joint of my wrist. While undergoing treatment, they made me clumsy POP-cast, which was uncomfortable to live with. So I decided to do something about it.
Soon I found the necessary data from the MRI scan. I eventually built a supporting cast for faster recovery with the help of a 3D printer. The 3D printing technology helped me achieve the exact topology of my hand. Plus, It looked cool!

Land-rover Defender 110 Scale Model Homage
Land-rover defender is the most simplistic vehicle ever made. It is versatile in its use. When I was introduced to 3D printing, this was one of my first projects This project was was a homage to the land-rover's creation.
Expressing emotions through graphics.
Something as simple as graphics on a vehicle adds on to the entirety of the emotion that is evoked by the vehicle. So, paying attention to the design process, even for these minute embellishments, is imperative.
